Massage in Chamonix

Dollarphotoclub_34520214Whether you live in Chamonix or are on holiday in the Chamonix valley; you can relax, renew, and recuperate at the foot of the French Alps.

My goal is to make sure your time spent here is enjoyable and that you experience a proper massage not a feathery, light massage that leaves you desperately wishing for deeper pressure.

You will leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and well on your way to achieving your foundation for better health, wellness, and body maintenance.

No matter what massage you want (Swedish, sports massage, Tu ina), I will adapt the massage according to your needs, a whole body massage, or specifically the legs after a long day’s hike, or only the back for an hour due to stress and tension, you choose.

I work primarily from Le Grand Hotel des Alpes in the Chamonix centre or the Hotel Montana in Argentiere, France.

When you book directly with me you have access to the pool, steam room and sauna as well.

I am also available to come to you at your hotel or chalet.  I arrive 10 minutes early to set up the table, oils and towels. Please be sure that you have well heated, quiet area for the massage. A minimum of a 60 minute massage is necessary for me to come to you.

Schedule your massage by calling me at if you are in France or 00 33 68 05 68 891 if abroad or simply at

I also work with other massage therapists in the valley. Together we can provide a couple’s massage or massage for a group event.

Types of Massage

Sports Massage

Sports massage is not a deep tissue massage or simply a wellness massage. Sports massage aims to promote the performance and recovery of an athlete, and accompany that person through his/her training period both physically and mentally. I use a set of manual techniques for a specific goal of the athlete (competition, performance, maintenance, etc.)
Sports massage is not only for competitive athletes! I work with many clients coming to Chamonix for a week of skiing, hiking, climbing, or biking. Most are especially looking for recovery after a day’s effort on the mountain.
Techniques vary from effleurages, percussions, petrissages, stretching, compression, and so on.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. It is a complete, muscular massage that can be very relaxing or stimulating, to light or deep therapeutic style of bodywork. For a global relaxation of the body, the massage focuses particularly on releasing muscular tension, increasing blood flow to the heart and releasing toxins and other metabolic waste. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart with oil. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation.

Benefits of Swedish Massage

Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension and stress. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility, as well as faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.
